Wakonda State Park is home to six lakes that attract huge amounts of migratory birds. Birdwatchers and fishermen love this park. Swimming, camping, hiking, boating, cycling, picnicking and metal detecting are other popular activities here. Five hiking trail varying in length and difficulty are offered here. When combined the trails equal about seven miles in length.
